Books From A to Z – Just The Way You Are

Just The Way You Are by Barbara Freethy

A baby brought them together — and even though Alli has always loved her strong, sexy husband Sam and the life they’ve made together, she’s now decided to set him free to follow his youthful dreams. For although she worships Sam, it’s no longer enough for her to be wife and lover when she knows she holds so little of his heart.

Sam has always dreamed of a life away from the close-knit world of Tucker’s Landing, but marriage and fatherhood ended all that. Now Sam is torn between what was and what was meant to be. He must decide if it’s time to rekindle the dreams of the past…or accept Alli, and her love, just the way she is. (via Goodreads)

My views:

Yes, I do like chicklit and won’t apologise for that. Just the Way You Are is sixth book of Barbara Freethy’s that I’ve read in the last couple of years. I love the real way she creates characters and completely believe plots. This one is clutches at your heart and draws you into the story of a couple struggling to know what love really means to them.

  1. This sounds like a great book! I love stuff like this too. ♥

  2. Sounds like my kind of book!!! I wanna read!!!! 🙂 🙂

  3. That must be a tough choice to make. Loved the storyline.

  4. I have to go book shopping after this challenge really..Reading gives such a high no and that too when the books are good…

  5. Good that she lets her husband go to pursue his dreams. Who knows what will happen next…(I am sure you know, having read the book. And I can too if I read it!) But for now all I can say is that I really appreciate and respect this kind of maturity and depth in women! Thanks for sharing this book, Corinne!

  6. A small and good review…Thanks for introducing another book.

  7. Wow.. I love chicklist too.. Will read this !! Thanks for sharing 🙂

  8. Hello there. I love to read books too. My favourite is of course the Bible. Thanks for sharing. All the best with the challenge!

  9. Hi Corinne unashamed lover of chick lit too – Just reading the blurb here makes feel annoyed at people who marry to young, or if they know they have a desire that won’t be fulfilled in marriage…

  10. Love is such a big concept, and it is not strange that we all view love from different dimensions ! Would love to know whether Sam’s view intersects Alli’s 🙂
