Her Words

“Someday, somewhere - anywhere, unfailingly, you'll find yourself, and that, and only that, can be the happiest or bitterest hour of your life.” - Pablo Neruda
Unwritten
The words in her heart.
Unspoken
The words on her mind.
Unused
Her unique voice.
Inhibited and lacking confidence
She leaned on others’words.

Her soul waited patiently
Leading her down many paths
Some joyful, some meaningful
Others fraught with pain
Every experience recorded deep within.

“Write” her soul urged.
And the words came
Haltingly at first
Then more confidently
Echoing her thoughts
Mirroring her emotions
Reflecting her principles.

She wrote because she had to.
To celebrate her victories.
To mourn her losses.
To be.
She wrote to center herself,
Her words were now forever
Food for her soul.

  1. So true. We write ‘to be’. Lovely expression. Thanks 🙂

  2. Write her soul. This is so apt for all of us? We have been writing our thoughts, feelings and what not on our blogs. And if someone flipped through they would see our soul in it. Like this post you have written shows the most beautiful part of your soul, the writing…

I have a confession, the post looked so profound for only hundred words that I thought its more than 100 words. Corinne 99! I am amazed! who says quantity is needed to depict quality 🙂
